About Us

Dr. Megan Matthyssen

Veterinarian/Practice Owner

Dr. Matthyssen attended Texas A&M University where she earned her Bachelor's and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degrees.  Following graduation, she completed an equine medicine and surgery internship at the University of Missouri, and most recently practiced at a full-service equine and small animal clinic in the San Antonio area.  Dr. Matthyssen’s special interests include general wellness, breeding work, and internal medicine.

 

 

Dr. Candice Carden

Veterinarian

Dr. Carden earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Colorado State University.  After graduating, she spent two years practicing at Elgin Equine Hospital.  After which she started her own mobile vet practice in east Texas.  Her areas of special interests are acupuncture, soft and hard tissue surgery and client education.

 

 

Lisa Fiala

Certified Veterinary Assistant II

Originally from Round Mountain, Lisa moved to Austin about 2 years ago.  She has been working in the veterinary field for 4 years.  In her spare time, she likes to spend time at the lake fishing with her chocolcate lab, Tito.

 

 

Jennifer Price

Front office manager

Jennifer Price, a 2000 graduate of The University of Texas, got her start in the veterinary field working in the pharmacy of a 5 doctor practice in Round Rock. Since then, she's managed 4 vet hospitals, worked in emergency vet care, and has been a foster parent for 2 Central Texas dog rescue organizations. In her spare time, she enjoys watching & participating in sports, and visiting Austin parks with her Dachshunds: Rocky, Apollo & Don Vito.
